Flooring Removal
Remove your carpets, vinyl, laminates, ceramic tiles or hardwood. Whether it's glued, stapled, nailed, or floating. We possess the right tools and expertise ensure your walls, cabinets, and other finished surfaces stay undamaged. We also implement dust containment measures to protect your home during the entire process.
Level Substrate
Subfloors can be plywood, concrete or shiplap in older homes. Proper leveling is crucial for a successful installation. As each flooring type has specific standards. Issues like bouncy floors and broken locking systems often arise from improper leveling, potentially requiring floor removal for repairs.
Install New Flooring
We can install Solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl plank, vinyl tile, and laminate flooring in different colors and styles. Our expertise covers Glued Down, Nailed Down, and Floating installations.
Baseboards and Door Casings
We can either remove and reinstall your existing baseboards or install new ones. For door casings, we can replace them if the style doesn't match the new look. Otherwise, they can remain as they are.
Stair Installation
Stairs can be made from all our flooring options. In a couple different nosing options. Some work to the subtread may be required. There are strict code regulations and install should always be done by a professional.
Sand & Finish
If you have a solid or engineered floor with a wear layer 3mm or greater and it is not floating, you can restore it through sanding and refinishing. Top 2mm gets sanded down, revealing your bear hardwood underneath. Then colour of your choice can be applied. Followed by 2 or 3 topcoats of finish in Matte, Satin or Semi-Gloss sheen.
Recoats
Re-Finishing
If you have a fixed floor that is glued, nailed or stapled down, there is a good chance we can recoat it. It requires a commercial cleaning prior to eliminate dirt and other contaminates.
Commercial Cleaning
Commercial cleaning is done with a specialized machine. It has a bristle drum that rotates over 1000 times per minute, while simultaneously spraying a cleaning solution and sucking it up again. This proses work wonders on restoring the original look of your floor. The bristles are soft enough not to damage the clear coat but they are firm enough to dig into the soft grain and get the dirt and grim out. This can be done on it's own but it is also the first step in recoating your floors.
